Jeff is the principal and senior wealth management advisor of Cormier Wealth Management. Jeff brings more than 18 years of experience in integrated wealth management and financial planning to his clients. Jeff focuses his practice on helping business owners and professionals with comprehensive financial planning, estate planning, wealth management and advanced financial strategies for their family and their closely held corporations.

 

Jeff holds several of the industry’s most demanding designations and qualifications. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and is a member in good standing with FP Canada. Jeff is also one of the few financial professionals in New Brunswick to have achieved the most prestigious financial designation in the world: the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter. The CFA designation is the global standard demanded of high-level investment portfolio managers. Jeff is a graduate of the Université de Moncton Bachelors of Business Administration (Finance) program.

 

Jeff currently serves as the chair of the Conduct Review Panel and as a member of the Projection Assumptions Guidelines Committee for Financial Planning Canada (FP Canada). He previously served as the chair and expert member of the national Panel of Examiners (FPE1) for FP Canada, where he worked with the panel to develop and set the standards for the first exam on the path towards the CFP designation. Jeff has also been invited by FP Canada to attend case study development workshops all over the country to contribute his expertise and passion for the profession. Jeff has also been asked to review curriculum for the CFA Institute to ensure that it is relevant to the investment profession. In 2015, Jeff made the list of the Top 25 Wealth Professionals under age 35 in Canada, according to Wealth Professional Magazine.

 

Outside of the financial planning world, Jeff pursues a secondary career as a commissioned officer in the Reserve component of the Canadian Army. In the military, Jeff holds the rank of Captain as a member of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s). Jeff is a board member for the Fondation Louis-J.-Robichaud in Shediac. Jeff is also an active instrument-rated private pilot and can be often found exploring the skies all over North America.

 

Jeff and his wife Josée, a former high school math teacher turned entrepreneur, reside in Shediac with their two children, Dia and Noah. Jeff is a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan and enjoys golf, though he plays not well at all.
