Jeff is the principal and senior wealth management advisor of Cormier Wealth Management. Jeff brings more than 19 years of experience in integrated wealth management and financial planning to his clients. Jeff focuses his practice on helping business owners and professionals with comprehensive financial planning, estate planning, wealth management and advanced financial strategies for their family and their closely held corporations.

 

Jeff holds several of the industry’s most demanding designations and qualifications. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and is a member in good standing with FP Canada. Jeff is also one of the few financial professionals in New Brunswick to have achieved the most prestigious financial designation in the world: the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter. The CFA designation is the global standard demanded of high-level investment portfolio managers. Jeff is a graduate of the Université de Moncton Bachelors of Business Administration (Finance) program.

 

Jeff Cormier currently serves on the Board of Directors for FP Canada, the national organization responsible for setting standards and certifying professional financial planners. He is a member and past chair of FP Canada’s Projection Assumptions Guidelines Committee and has previously chaired both the Conduct Review Panel and the Panel of Examiners (FPE1). Jeff has contributed his expertise to case study development workshops across Canada for FP Canada and has been invited to review curriculum for the CFA Institute to ensure its alignment with the needs of the investment profession.

 

Outside of the financial planning world, Jeff pursues a secondary career as a commissioned officer in the Reserve component of the Canadian Army. In the military, Jeff holds the rank of Major as the Deputy Commanding Officer of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s). Jeff is a board member for the Fondation Louis-J.-Robichaud in Shediac. Jeff is also an active instrument-rated private pilot and can be often found exploring the skies all over North America.

 

Jeff and his wife Josée, a former high school math teacher turned entrepreneur, reside in Shediac with their two children, Dia and Noah. Jeff is a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan.
